Hi bbpearl! I posted this response on your wall but I saw your post in the Archos 101 forums. I moved it here because that's where it belongs and I'm copying my response here as well as it may spawn a discussion that might further help you and/or others:

Hi, the first thing I would say is that you USUALLY get what you pay for.

I did a quick search for the tablet you mentioned and while it seemed to have pretty good reviews I noticed that it has a resistive touch screen and that is a BIG negative.

I have followed some of the "no name brands" of tablets and while it's interesting to see what they keep coming out with...I wouldn't go there.

Take a look at the Viewsonic gTablet. You can pick one up for about $250-$300. It has a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor but it does not have the greatest screen (poor viewing angles) but at least it's capacitive.

Right now, I'd say the best bang for your buck is the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. $400 might be steep for a device that is not "necessary" to most people, but it would serve you well for a number of years where as you might regret purchasing a budget tablet a couple of months later.

I hope this helps!
