"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

just because #12 says 'rocks' doesn't mean its cleveland
you have to look at all the clues
#12 is probably cincinnati or more specifically fairfield
a store called 'amber waves' is there
and is home to KS robotics
just saying
i'm not seeing any evidence for detroit on #17
all the evidence points to ohio and cleveland

So, going by DroidDecoder....the Verizon employees are late in their hiding of the next certificate. I wonder if it's because they were spotted or can't find a place to hide it.

What's the weather like? Is this a rain delay?

STATUS: Apparently "get ready" did not imply something was happening around our internally projected ETA of 1:30PM EDT. Stand by...

This is nuts. Is someone in Minneapolis holding up the VZW people?

80 degrees, partly cloudy. No rain or anything like that. I did notice at about 11:30 the lunch crowd got really busy everywhere and they are still out.

LOL dude... "Amber Waves" in Fairfield is some obscure salon that is in a residential neighborhood... Look at where the others have been found thus far, downtown areas of big cities... Do you really think they'd put one in Fairfield, OH?!! Have you been there? lol
Also, the traffic light clue does NOT point to Cleveland. Read this: Traffic Light History - Invention of the Traffic Light

It says that the ones in Cleveland "looked more like the semaphore signals you see at train crossings today.", ie not "modern".

I replied to @DroidDecoder's message with "LIES" and they sent me a DM saying:

We were just told to get ready. No timeframe though we do have to admit this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Also the largest cement plant in the world is in alpena, MI near Detroit.

Amber waves is probably referring to Lake Erie, where the RRHoF is conveniently located.

Can we agree on something? Region clues are not state clues, state clues are not city clues, and city clues are not location clues.

In the Cleveland example, "Amber Waves" is about the midwest. A Droid X is not going to land in some town no one has heard of and OH isn't getting 2 Droid X's. It's just not. From the midwest, we narrow it down to the Buckeye State. From Ohio, we narrow it down to Cleveland (city that rocks). Based on the other locations where X's have been found, it's not going to be as easy as The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Hard Rock, etc. It's going to be some place that the locals have heard of but not a place that everyone knows about. Not some place super-obscure, but it might not be on the tip of your tongue either.

None of the locations where Droids have been found are top landmarks and none of them have been related to previous clues.

Just ask CHenry who was at both Plymouth Rock and in Boston looking for live lobsters. :-)

im hoping they wait until later in the day for #6 tomorrow. my wife has a dr. appt at 1130 and then we are heading over to orlando from lakeland. if you see me i actually will be running around with a pregnant wife, unlike the francis troll. we need more clues! orlando has a lot of possible places and i need to know where to set up shop.

Droid X designate #12 will be holding an hour long press conference tonight and early reports say it will be taking its 1ghz talents to 'Souf' Beach.

I don't think Amber waves means anything... It's just a play on the phrase "amber waves of grain" from "America the Beautiful", with hdmi subbed for "grain"... Just part of a state clue.
