Missing Play Store Credit/Free Items

Considering the fact that Google is giving you that 25 dollars to motivate you to buy stuff in the play store i am sure that you do have to put your credit card information.
 
Ok thanks for your answers guys. Do you think it is safe to give your credit card info? Can you check how much you are spending using the "wallet" app?

I think the Wallet app is just for buying things in stores where you tap your phone to purchase. You can go to wallet.google.com, sign in and see all your transactions.

Using your CC is as safe as everywhere else that uses secure servers for purchasing. I've been doing it for years and only had my identity stolen 4 times.

Just bought a new Nexus 7, added my CC to my account, no $25 credit.

Did a factory reset, still no credit.

Bought a cheap app, downloaded it, paid for it no worries. And still no credit.

Any idea what the heck else I can try?

I assume you activated the device with a Google account when you first started, correct?

I received emails after I went thru the setup process.
 
Yep, as soon as I turned it on and connected to the WiFi network, the next option was to set up your Google account - logged in with my existing account, no dice ever since.
 
I was miffed that I didn't get mine either, but I recently read on the Google website that the offer actually ended on the 30th September 2012. BUM!

Its been dead for quite some time. Mine arrived in the mail just a few days before it expired
 
i got few songs on google play music, ice age on google tv, and magazines and books on those google apps all free for buying one...

The credit offer ended a few months ago, I believe.

Even if you activated your tablet whilst the offer was available, unspent credit was removed from your account.
 
I didn't get amy credit either :-( I got my 32g for christmas 2012 and it had a free version of the movie Ice Age and magazines but that was it.
 
Guys, the credit option ended way back in like September or October. It was designed to JumpStart sales of this tablet and it ended a few months after it came out.
