I downloaded the latest version on my pc, named the zip update so it's update.zip and moved it to the root of my SD card. I go into recovery and wipe data and cache. Then I install update.zip and the rom installs fine. When I reboot, it just shows the HTC Incredible boot screen the entire time.

I restored to skyraider 3.5 with a nandroid backup and that booted fine. Then I installed the update.zip without wiping or anything and it booted MIUI fine. The problem was android was constant force closing. I tried a full wipe again and installing again, but the HTC Incredible screen problem came back.

I can't download it in rom manager because it errors out halfway through.

What am I doing wrong? Now I'm having these errors in clockwork:

E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/log
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2

How long was it stuck on the boot screen before you nandroid restored? It usually takes a while after you wipe the phone for it to boot up.

I'm getting an error too. Anytime I go to wipe the cache I get an error but it wipes the cache fine so I guess its not a problem.

I'm getting this error:

boot time after miui install is around 10 mins so be patient and wait, if it doesnt show the miui bootscreen around the 6th minute there is something wrong. as dragonsamus said it take some time after install/wipe for the system to create all the cache again.
 
I installed it from rom manager successfully but now it doesn't give me the option to program my phone and activate the service.

*228 just force closes when I call it. Every time.


EDIT: *228+ worked for me. All is good now. Thanks for the help

What'd you do to get *228 to work? I have been having the same problem since the 12.11 update.
 
*22877 gave me the same problem as *228. The only one that worked was *228+

How do I install the smooth blue theme on my phone? All it does is give me a bootloop.
