Root MIUI Ring Delay

Problem: When I receive a call, the screen turns on, but just sits there silently for several seconds before ringing.

I tried adding the line: ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=1 to system/build.prop.

Tried different rings. Tried moving the rings to internal memory. Tried .mp3, .ogg, & .wav files.

I googled for hours last night to no avail. It doesn't seem like this problem is something that a lot of Triumph users are having or complaining about. But I think I was having it with other ROMs too. I'm currently using the latest MIUI.

I think jrummy's Root Tools can alter the ring delay.

Thanks, but there's nothing mentioned about ring delay in the description and it costs money.

I think I might have gained about a ring in speed by removing Google Voice. Not entirely sure though and I'm not going to reinstall it to test.

Any more ideas?

It's a MIUI issue. It needs to be fixed in MIUI first before it gets fixed in the Triumph port.

Sometimes the screen goes black while the phone is ringing. Is this an MIUI glitch, too?

I've never had that problem, but I'm assuming this is an issue with our end and not MIUI directly.

EDIT: Well, I should say, if this isn't happening in CM7, then it's definitely a problem with MIUI.

Well, it didn't happen to me in stock or CM7, so I'd say it's MIUI. Thanks.

Yeah, a quick Google shows that it effects a lot (if not all) of MIUI devices.

Found the solution: Ring Delay

Go into the dialer, then firewall>firewall and turn off "Anti-stranger mode". That's it!

Nice, I actually went through titanium and deleted that app. I noticed I don't have a delay either.
