Guys, I was having issues with my original version of MIUI. Updated to newest version last month and problems have continued. Notifications not working on many apps and overall just a crappy experience. I'll hit the home screen and a blank screen with zero icons shows up. Typically takes a minute or two for them to populate. I am beginning to wonder if it's not an app related issue that carried over. I used miui backup to store info prior to flashing new version. Any ideas?

The way I do any ROM diagnotics is by starting with a anadroid backup. Then using a known good ROM without any changes (governor, clock speeds, minimal apps). Then work in the changes I think are safe.
