Miui Vs. All?

1. Yeah, reverted back to 2.1.2 now
2. Might do that but tbh I've moved the apps I want to my default home screen and using FancyWidget for clock/weather so I'm happ enough
3. I assumed the dialer would be like the Sense one with all contacts appearing underneath the dial pad. Actual contacts are all there and sync with Facebook so it's all good. Seriously fast ROM

Another minor gripe - auto brightness just isn't as quick to adjust as Sense-based ROMs are...shame really as it's the one thing annoying me
See, I couldn't get a functioning sync for my FB contacts. I would pull up my contacts and instead of a "view profile" button there was just some type of html looking code.
And looking back I don't think I bothered to notice if there was any difference in battery drain running the stock Miui rom. Any input?
I like the idea of the "app" folder in the dock so if/when I re-flash Miui I will hook that up for sure. Oxygen is really nice and I thought I would be put off by how bare bones it is but that gives it a special cham.... lol

I don't play games so it's not a deal breaker. So long as Angry Birds works I couldn't care less. Come across another issue - I can't play embedded Flash content on the BBC website. If I use Dolphin HD and go to BBC SPORT I've always been able to play Flash video but now it says I've not got the right version installed

YouTube app works fine, though

indeed, you seen the latest games on iphon4? im blown away
if you were a gamer you could be dissing iphone for not being as good for anything and desire pwns it.
they then pull out a new game and BOOM, desire has just been murdered by an android eating giant apple on steroids.

there isnt any games for android that look that good let alone our poor lowly non gpu enabled desire

brb testing this

Already using latest Flash, put it in the ROM before flashing it
hmm try reinstalling it from the market
all i can say is i used dolpin HD and bbcsport and watched some vid over hsdpa
i recently install it from the market as it wouldnt play any flash with the version installed with the rom.
maybe its not reading it properly from system

I don't get MIUI....if people want an iPhone GUI why not just buy an iPhone...
its not about iphone gui
i dont like iphone, i like miui
have you tried it and played with it?

if not then you are in no position to comment

also on another note, people get android because of choice not because its not an iphone.
I can choose to have what i want, if anything miui is ultimately one of the better mods as its able to be android and pull off nearly everything the iphone does well and does is in a better/more logical fashion.
I can "choose" to have what ever i want how i want, there are things about ios that are nice, this doesnt in any way mean i want an iphone

Reinstalled the Flash APK and it's now working...strange, and I now keep getting the Market FCing on me since I downloaded EStrongs

This seems to be turning into an Iphone bashing thread. I was just wondering the pros, cons and such to running Miui over another type of Rom.
So has anyone noticed any difference in battery life/consumption on the stock Miui compared to a Vanilla Rom? Is that the price for speed or is it just the design of the Ui that makes it faster without gobbling up battery?

Are you using the market version that came with the Rom. Mine is 1.82

I wouldn't be concerned about iPhone bashing they are as bad as the iPhone fanbois
anyway I don't see battery being any better or worse than vanilla roms

I'm using Flash 10.1.105.7 or whatever it is, reinstalled the APK over the one in /system/app and it now works on the BBC site...weird

The android phones are just like PCs, they are surrounded by mystery and confusion. lol
Dont know how many times a reboot has cleared up some strange ailment or reinstalling an app/program suddenly removes whatever problem you had before....

no thats newer that 12.3
ive just flashed 12.11 over the top and it seems ok so far

it updates the market to 2.12

seems ok so far with vorkernel r8 as recommended on the thread
ill monitor that though as vorkernel dez2 was a bit bad (rare for vork)
