Help MMS for HTC Desire in the US

dakkky

Newbie
I have an unlocked HTC Desire in the US and am with T-Mobile. I've tried countless settings but cant get my mms settings to work. Can ANYONE pleassse help me out??

I have tried so many I've lost count. I called T Mobile and spoke with 3 different people telling me they couldnt find the HTC Desire so I looked online. In the Desire section on the forums, I participated in two good threads with people trying to help me out but I still cant get it to work. Do you have a Desire? If so, how are your APN settings configured?

I've tried mostly in the stock messaging application. I've also tried handcent but with no luck :(

Have you tried this??

  1. In the MMS section, enter epc.tmobile.com in the APN field.
  2. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
  3. In the MMSC field, enter mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc.
  4. Leave the MMS Proxy, MMS Max Message Size, and MMS UA Prof URL fields blank.
  5. Return to the main screen.
  6. Turn the device off and back on.
  7. Test the settings by sending a picture message to your own mobile number.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it did not work.

Cool to see that you're also in Seattle! I don't personally know anyone in the area with a Desire or Nexus.

Any other ideas?

I am asking some Eng friends @ T-Mobile. I am right up the road from their corporate HQ in Factoria (Bellevue). Not to mention that my company is a service provider for some of their services (Web2Go). :D

I'll let you know what I hear back.

Sorry, didn't get back to you sooner. He sent me information, but it's all pretty much what I have posted already (and others).

Still looking. The fact that we don't have one of those phones makes it hard.

Yeah... I know what you mean.. :(

I appreciate you inquiring. If anything comes up, please dont be afraid to post it! :)

Hey Dakky did you ever get your mms to work? I just got a Desire and I am having the same problem. Called T-Mobile twice and called HTC and they couldn't help.
