MMS Group Messaging Fix?

Any time an iPhone user, or even an Android user with a custom manufacturer skin, send a group text message, I receive them as MMS messages and only from the individual who sent it. When I reply, it only goes to that one person. I'm sure you guys have experienced the same thing.

I get that Google just chooses to treat group messaging differently than Apple does with iMessage, but is there a fix for this? Most of my friends partake in this spontaneous group texting, and I never even bother replying because I really can't.

Any solutions? And don't recommend GroupMe.

I'm not aware of anything :( Yes it annoying :(

note: Looked up "GroupMe" screw that, that isn't a fix for this issue...

note 2: When you look in the "details" of the MMS everyone's Phone# is there, so I don't why anyone hasn't come up with a solution :(

Its not google, that's how all phones have treated "group messages" forever. Apple just started changing it on their own and they do it internally with imessage....and most people don't even realize they are getting a group text or responding to ALL whether they like it or not. I, for one, don't want my reply to be REPLY ALL and have no control over it. I also don't want to get a copy of every person on the text's replies either.

I'd like it to be left alone. I use GroupMe for group texts or I send emails.

Is it replying to "all" though? When I look at my outgoing reply it is a standard SMS with only the person I got the txt froms #

My phone replys all unless I set it to individual conversations. Which I like. That's the only bad thing about go SMS is you can't do that. I don't like replying all because half the time it's people I don't know, and also because it doesn't keep the conversation in on thread, it starts a separate thread for every number which is annoying when I get 30 texts from different people asking who this is because they got my message that was only intended for the person who sent it to me.

I don't know but I think so. Though, I believe it is all handled externally by Apple. When someone on an iPhone texted me in a group SMS, I got replies from other people and people seem to have gotten replies from me....even though my phone only sent one reply to the original sender. I think the iMessage servers must see the reply with the other numbers in the header, and then create a reply-all type message that it sends to the other users on the chain.

Note, this is only speculation, but I'm pretty sure something fishy is going on.

It only happened to me once or twice since most people I know don't group text like that.
