Help Mobile Network (APN) settings

Thanks for that! I've been fighting with this for a while now, Read every dam forum I could find on it. Very Weird that its the telus sim chip default setting that was wrong. In my back up file I have an APN for Tethering with Telus but the APN for everyday uses denoted by Telus sim chip connection was wrong.

Removing the space solved my MMs issues.
 
I've used the different settings for internet access, planet 3 and mms. They work as stand-alone settings, but I found that I still needed to switch to different APN's depending on what I'd like to do. Also, when 3 sent me the MMS settings, my phone didn't give me the option to choose it when I need to download an MMS.

I noticed that Samsung Galaxy S on Android 2.2 doesn't have separate settings for mobile internet, planet 3 and mms. So I sort of mixed and matched the various settings that I read on the forums with the one that 3 sent me.

This works for me now. Thank God.

APN Settings on my Samsung Galaxy S (Android 2.2)

Settings> Wireless & Network >Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
Press Menu, choose New APN

Name: 3services
APN: 3services
Proxy: not set
Port: not set

Click the back button, "3services" should now be on the list of APNs and a green button should show beside it.

When out of a wifi range, I switch the wifi off. The H or 3G sign then appears on the notification bar. I do the same when I want to go on Planet 3.

I hope this helps someone who is in a boat that I was in for a while.
 
This seems to fix my mms problem... am i just stuck in 2G? my G1 ran 3G service, but this G2 cant seem to show anything but 2G network... I am running AT&T (hate it) but thats all i can get where i live. thanks for fixing the mms problem and if i need to change the APN protocol to get above 2G or something please let me know... I bought this unlocked phone because it was suppsosed to be faster than my G1 but now i have dropped from 3G to 2G??
 
ATT (US) Settings- APN

I used the APN settings listed on here.. My internet works fine, but my messaging doesnt work so well.. When I send a picture it is in video formatt;;; Is there any way to adjust the settings so my mms messaging comes up and sends as a normal picture rather than video? any advice?
 
MMS is still stuck in video.. Installed Tweakker app and same thing.. Internet works fine, just the MMS problem.. once again, any advice?
 
Hi, i am having problems.. maybe someone can help me... im new on this site, friend recommended me.


So heres my deal,

I have a HTC Desire HD Unlocked Phone.
I am using a Virgin Mobile Canada SIM Card.

I cannot Send/Recieve Picture Messages(MMS)

When i do recieve a MMS threw text message, beside the text itself it says "Download"...
I Click/Press "Download", after a couple attempts it gives me a notification saying "Could Not Download, Generic Network Failure"

I called Virgin Mobile here in Canada, and they told me that since it is an Unlocked Phone with There SIM Card, they cannot do anything about it.. Everything else works fine, but dissapointed that i cannot send or recieve MMS..
Any Help would be GREAT !!

The HTC Desire HD was ORIGINALY through TELUS Canada.

Does it work on WiFi?

And, if you look at your APNs, do any of them mention being for MMS messages? If you go into an APN, the very bottom field is APN Type and you would expect to see 'default' and 'mms' mentioned in those somewhere. If none of your APNs have 'mms' in that field, that would explain it.
 
NEED HELP with S2 on AT&T.
I bought an unlocked version of the phone from Korea. Brought it to the US and used the AT&T sim with a $10 data plan meant for non-smartphones. Phone ran fine for 2-3 months. Data was a bit slow but worked and so did voice. The korean characters were bothering me, so I used ODIN to flash english version of the firmware (I9100). Ever since I did that, the korean characters are gone but voice and data are not functioning properly. Voice and data both only work intermittently. I tried the AT&T APN settings provided above but didn't help. Called AT&T and they seem to the think that the data plan needs to be changed to a Smartphone plan. I am willing to do that, but that shouldn't matter for voice right ?

Can you please help. I don't want to go out and buy a new phone altogether.

I had these settings as well from another i site and i could never upload mms pics it would time out.....so I checked the settings on my daughters phone and noticed that user name setting is spelled correctly, but it did not use all caps (the password however is correct with all caps) So on mine User name: wap@cingulargprs.com and password CINGULAR1...works...??
 
im new and need help!!!!!!
I JUST RE BOOT && RESET MY PHONE AND NOW I CANT MAKE ANY CALLS IT KEEP SAYING EVERY TIME I DIAL A NUMBER "MOBILE NETWORK NOT AVAILABLE" SO WHAT SHOULD I DO I NEED MY PHONE
 
I'm having issues on Rogers sending MMS messages. I used the VPN settings outlined here but it's still not working. Any suggestions?
 
Hi I tried these APN settings for my new Samsung Galaxy Young phone for AT&T data network . After i enter the MNC port = 410 nd save button press , everything will wipeout ..it's not saving ..tried so many times , still same issue. It saves until before MNC port settings. Any idea how to fix this issue ? ANy help will be greatly appreciated !
