Root mocado rom

hi ive just got my htc hero about a week ago lovin it already but been reading about this mocado rom thing i would like to know what it is and what u can do with it
 
There are several good threads already detailing the features, pros and cons of this ROM. As Jaffa suggested, albeit rather more bluntly than I would have, the Search This Forum tool (top right of each forum index) is very useful for quickly finding relevant posts.
