Root [MOD] 1% Battery icons for CM7 11-19 Tickerguy build

Here's a 1% battery icon mod for the 11-6 Tickerguy CM7 build for anyone interested. And yes, I know you can just set the options in CyanogenMod to show just the percentage, but I like the icons with numbers better than just the numbers alone.

Thanks to Tickerguy and Isaac for getting the build going.

Instructions:

Download the appropriate Zip and flash in recovery over the 10/30 CM7 build.

There's 3 Zip Files--download the one with the icons you want:

cm7_11-19_batteryicon-sprint.zip - same battery icon, but the Carrier Name is changed to "Sprint" for the ones that want it.

Also, rockneo, you can do the percentage, but in my opinion, it doesn't look as good.



EDIT: It seems that they are both the same file. At least when I tried them. They were both the icon and percent, and not the circle.
 
I loaded these (using the circle now) and found if you enable the Battery percentage option under CyanogenMod settings>Interface>Status bar tweaks that it will show the standard CM7 percentage. If that is disabled it will show the one you flashed.
 
Does this only work for the default theme, all the pre-installed themes, or does it overwrite themes? (I would test it but I'm running MIUI)

I have not tested with any themes... However, if the theme uses framework-res.apk, then this would overwrite it.
 
Be aware that if you're overwriting the framework (and you have to do so in order to make this mod) you're very likely to break fixes in later builds if you use it.

Unfortunately a lot of what I'm working on at present involves framework changes.

Understood, that's why I specifically stated which build this is for. So anyone who uses it don't come crying saying it broke something. :)
 
Just installed latest build of TG cm7 and then this on top of it and it is not working for me. battery shows numbers, and then a thin grey bar to the right of it instead of the battery icon in your screenshots. =/ any ideas?
 
figured that out this morning and felt pretty stupid, forgot to come post that i solved it on here

Tickerguy's 10-30 CM7 update made this zip unstable. It makes the words wrong in the lock screen and power menu. Before I play with the zip myself, can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I'll update this in the next day or so. Snowstorm has my internet knocked out at home.
