Root (MOD) CRT Off Animation

You can have this screen-off animation using Screen Off and Lock. It's also nice because you turn the screen off by hitting the app icon, so you're not hitting the power button as much.

With this mod you don't have to use the power button or any other button it just does it when the screen goes off. Thanks for the info tho

Not at the moment but I'm always tinkering. There was a thread on xda where I learned how to over ride the carrier text with an xml file. I really can't wait 'till we get an unlocked bootloader or someone finds a way around the integrity checks!

Are you sure you was able to decompile?how did you decompile the the framework? Its not even deodex, so it makes me wonder :hmmmm2:

I've decompiled it before. Just couldn't compile but it was because of my pc .

That's cool. It's also kind of weird, though, because if you let the phone sit there and the screen turns off by itself, you're probably not paying attention to it. And if you're not paying attention to it, does it matter how the screen turns off? Or do people like to stare at their phone and wait for the screen to turn off?

Do you mean to place the framework file? You can use any root enabled file manager or push with adb from a computer.

Download the framework res apk and use root explorer to replace the one in your system

Replace the circled file with the one you downloaded. I underlined the directory where you find the file.

To be on the safe side I would perform the actual steps on a copy of your framework. You'll possibly get in a boot loop if you use this one.

I noticed this works without commenting out the build.prop line as long as you clear cache and dalvik.
One question tho, which of these has the original transition effects, meaning not jb, but the crt off enabled?
