THIS IS NOT A DATA UPGRADE!!

1. What does this do?
This is a modification to the services.jar framework file, that allows you to have an un-throttled internet.
2. Will this make my internet faster?
Yes and No. This will not "Upgrade" your internet. This only takes the trottle off, so you can download, or play games and not have to worry about it hitting a certain peak and lagging from that point on. It doesn't provide you with a new internet, only a warm fuzzy feeling from knowing you don't have to worry about it capping off.


!WARNING!
This may or may not cause your mobile data to force close when going into your settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks! This is not fixable and is specifically due to the removal of the data governors!
HOWEVER :)
You can use a data enabler widget from the play store to easily toggle your data on and off! So the force close issue is really a petty issue because its easier to toggle from your home screen anyways. ;)

in any case, though, if you have a problem with the force close issue...dont use the mod...simple as that.

so i made the mod! I dont really have that awesome of mobile data where i live anyways and im only one person so please post your thoughts and results here if you would :)

Also i made this for ZVD so thats the only rom that I can confirm that it works on but i wouldnt be surprised if it would work on any rom.

*NOTE
if you are running a rom or theme that already has some services.jar mods then this mod will wipe out those other mods. I would suggest using the linked thread to mod your services.jar yourself :) or i can do it for you no prob :)

i was worried about questions like this lol. here is my best answer

well there are data governors on the phone that stop the data from staying at a certain speed. say if i was downloading something and the top speed i was allowed to reach with my data was 10mb per second (just an example). as soon as my data reached 10mb per second it would drop down to lower than that because it was capped. but with the data governor removed it will be able to stay at 10mb :) like with a car governor kinda. its not gonna turn a honda civic into a mustang lol. its just gonna help that civic reach its full potential by taking the governor off. does that answer your question??

Cause you said if you use this one then it will replace any mods done to the one you have installed. That's why i was wondering.
 
you cant bypass a cap thats controlled elsewhere!! ;)

Not saying this mod wont help, but dont be surprised when it doesnt or stops working ;)

Data caps are done on the carriers end. ;)

yeah thats why i didnt use the stock one because i know that most peeps are probably running modded roms at this point (mostly #2 i bet because its so bad ass) and even if it was flashed on to stock zvd it wouldnt have any adverse affects. anything that ldrifta has done to the services.jar will only make what ever rom it is flashed onto better :)

good point, good point :) thats why im waiting to see what the reviews are. i just saw the mod and made it lol. figured it couldnt hurt either way :)
 
Well I'm running #2 1.8.3 I have 70$ plan ummmm so far I've been on ps3 DivX watching MIB3 with lag or buffering
 
Yeah, I mean you guys aren't going to cheat Metro if that's your intentions but you might have better internet reception depending on how ishy your area is.

Find someone, or do it yourself, and deliberately go over their allotted amount. Then you can see. I wouldn't get my hopes up though. ;)

But I can see this being good for a more consistent internet speed, if it works that way actually.

exactly! this isnt a miracle zip file here lol. It may or may not work but it DEFINITELY WILL NOT HURT YOUR PHONE SO IT DOESNT HURT TO TRY IT! thats how we will know if it works or not is if peeps actually give it a try :D

its not supposed to be able to let you go over your allotted amount lol. but it is supposed to be able to keep you at a more consistent data speed for whatever type of data you are on at the moment whether it be 4g, 3g, or 1x for that matter :)

I have yet to reach my data limit and I have been on the $50.00 plan since the Samsung galaxy... I am trying this now so far speed seems better if not more consistent.
