Root [MOD] Data Governor Remover!

The only way to fix the force close issue is to put the governors back on or use a data enabler widget. Sorry :/ you have to make sacrifices man. If the force close issue bothers you I can make a flashable zip file that can put the governors back on if you would like? Just tell me what ROM you are on and I'll do it
I use #2 and I would appreciate that. Would come in handy to have. Great work.

ok man I'll do it and post it in the OP. Just give me a day or so cuz some family stuff came up and I'm 2 hours away from my "developing environment". I'll see what I can do about getting it up by tonight but no promises man. Definitely by tomorrow night tho :)

No rush. Family comes first. I appreciate your dedication and hard work.

Thanks man for your understanding. For now you can just flash a backup or pull the services.jar from the #2 zip file and push it to your phone using Android commander and that will put the governors back and thus stop the force closing issue for now until I can get the reverted flashable zip posted for you ;)

ok finally updated the OP with a warning message about that force close issue and with a data governor restorer for rom #2! :D

if there is anyone else who would like for me to make a data governor restorer for another ROM please post here and i will got on it :D

thanks for backing me up man :) im sure it puts some peeps at ease that you do that being that im just starting out releasing stuff and im not a proven credible source just yet :)

ha, I have no pity for authoritarians. Empirical data with sound analytics far outweigh so-called "credible"sources any day. Consider the source? Of course, but also consider the person who judges that source and consider their rational faculties or lack thereof. Populism is, often, not a good way to go; ask a lemming. But, PG has a well deserved reputation for getting the business done.

I'll have some data for you soon.

...I'll come back to this....Maybe I need another drink to understand that....Captain up!

I tested the tweak on 1.9.1; I may be having bad luck or I may be in a bad area. So far, mobile net dies not work even with the toggle widget. I believe I had it disabled before I flashed.

I plan to get to other areas or remove the tweak, turn data on and try again with the widget. Maybe we need data enable before the flash?

I may update to 1.9.2 in the meantime. Once I get back to the land of the living, I think I owe idrifta some money. I'll be in rather secluded places for some time to come; testing may be slower and communications irregular, but I plan to help test this mod further.

So I went to enable data through the settings and it kept force closing *but* data came on after doing this several times! I put the toggle widget on first; this may be important.

I know it's not ideal, but software is like this sometimes; it's like when you banged on the TV and it would work and we never knew why, but that is what we did...

So far, it seems a bit better. Normally -- when I speed test -- I get one spike and then it gets mellow like they medicated a hyperactive child (shame on such bastards who medicate those kids). After the tweak, I get more spikes!!! I think we have a useful mod here. Thank you.

haha you are welcome dude!

Okay, I restored my backup and enabled data and then flashed the mod. Everything is working. So, it seems best to enable mobile data in settings *before* recovery.

I've been using since you released it. It's seems to give me a consistent speed. At work i have 4g it is very snappy. Home i have 1x I don't even try to use it lol. So far so good tho.
