if you hate the boot up sound heres how to stop it!!!

download this app to your phone
https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5lc3Ryb25ncy5hbmRyb2lkLnBvcCJd
this is just a free version of rootexplorer

start the app and go to menu>
scroll to the bottom and check root explorer and mount file system. ok any popups and grant super user access.

go back and click the star(favorites) then click the phone(/)
scroll to the system folder(select it)
then scroll to the ect folder(select it)
in that folder find poweron.snd
rename it by pressing and holding it and selecting rename
leave it the way it is just add .old to the end so it looks like this->poweron.snd.old

save and reboot
no sound

you rename it to .old so if you want it back just remove the .old
this is so you never remove it so you wont loose it if you want it back at any point...

Also you can change to whatever sound you want..
It has to an uncompressed audio format such as WAV.
MP3 or M4A wont work

How to:
Get a sound clip of whatever you like in WAV format or if its an mp3 you can convert it to WAV on your computer
Put it on your sdcard
On your phone
in your ROOT file explorer, go to /mnt/sdcard and rename it to poweron.snd
Copy it
navagate to /system/ect
press Mount to R/W
Paste it in /ect
and reboot

your stock sound will still remain as poweron.snd.old
and the system will look for the new poweron.snd at boot

Side note: I'm a metal head so I use song clips, guitar rifs, and drum beats from music that I own. I clip them in Audacity in Windows/ubuntu and move em to my sdcard but you can use any sound as long as its no longer than about 3 seconds long. It will get cut off in the next stage of boot if it's any longer than that
