Root [MOD]{wip] Modified Camera Apk using volume buttons

Hey everyone, just got my connect over the weekend and I've just played around with it a little bit, but its about time I put my foot in the water and try something out.

I'm coming from an EVO 4G that had the camera mod in order to use the volume button to take a picture so that will be my undertaking now. I will try and modify the stock cam app to use the volume buttons.

Just bare with me, might take me a couple of days, but I won't post anything until I've got it working right.

Sometimes I gotta take a pic real fast and by the time I grab my phone, input my pin and start up my camera app its already too late.

If your mod will allow the camera to startup from the lock screen that would be swell. Good luck bro.

If you use the ics lockers most of them (I know for sure go locker's ics locker does) when you use the unlock slide to the right it unlocks to your home screen and the left unlocks the camera (or whatever you choose in the settings) instantly. So there already is a way to go straight from lock to camera instantly. Just sayin..

Now taking pics with the volume button instead of touching the screen, that'd be something worth while.

I'm trying to do two different things now just to give you an update:

1. Modify original apk to use volume buttons.
2. Port the LG Motion camera app over to this phone in order to take advantage of the "Cheese" shutter.

More news as I keep learning and working on it.

The LG motion has use of the volume buttons to take pictures. if you could find the motion camera APK you may be able to backport it.
