Modding without using Kitchen

Currently on Villain Rom and Pulser has made it clear cosmetic apps will never appear on VillainTweaks again. Its up to us to make our own. I've tried working out The UOT kitchen but I cant figure it out for love or money. Villain Rom not being on the list which doesnt help. I cant find anywhere to upload the framework file either. So doesnt anyone know of any .apks that change things such as the battery meter that dont involve pissing around with system files?

Don't know of any .apk files that will mod your battery but an excellent modder called sileshn has produced a series of .zip files to flash via Recovery.

They come in a variety of styles and coloure, with or without battery %.

I have used them on KI3 and KI4 ROM's. However, I would advise making a nandroid Back-up, via CWM, before attempting it.

Cheers man , I tried one of them but when I click on external SD where i saved the file , CWM recovery cant find it.


EDIT: Odd maybe I need to reformat my sdcard. Saving to phone memory it was there. Installed Green circle mod and worked a treat. Cheers for that ironass. ;)
 
I wouldn't use those with Villain, they are for Delvrom. If you want to use UOT all you need to do is upload SystemUI, framework-res and twframework-res. To get these files all you need to do is unzip a copy of villain rom on your PC.
SystemUI can be found in:
system/app

Framework-res and twframework-res can be found in:
system/framework

Upload these files and you will be given a flashable zip :)

Also, put the zip file on your internal memory not the sd card.
 
Ther is no where to upload to . I went over that website and through billions of tuts on you tube. The ones linked above worked a treat .

Besides I haven't logged that site in a while where I wasn't in a queue.

You have to click the system files option for the browse buttons to appear.

Using themes meant for other roms can cause instability and other problems luckily delv and villain are based on KI4 so thats probably why your running them ok. Its generally not advised though.

weird but the line where you added the first red box doesnt appear for me :S On IE and Crome :S


Pulser claims there are a ton of .zip files for VR on XDA but i'll be damned if I can find em.
 
Ok scrap that I got into Kitchen again after a queue and I've seen the options I needed. Would seem I need to pay a visit to the opticians once more :s.
