because its my opinion
no, your KD shows you camp very well. Two different things. KD is meaningless. Win percentage is far more important. If you have a 3:1 KD but have a 0.5:1 win ratio, I dont want you on my team. end of story.
Of course it's your opinion, I just personally don't understand why others think so.
As far as camping, I do just fine without it. I'll do worse, but still well-above average, at least 2.0 probably in the range of 2.5-3.0. I still use the silenced UMP quite often, just my AUG-HBAR most of the time. Understand that I only play Team Deathmatch, not objective-style games like Demolition, so yes K/D actually is a good indicator of player skill in my case.
In Black Ops again I only play Team Deathmatch. My brother shares the PSN account with me, but only I use the Stoner63, which I use the most. My K/D with that, last time I checked, was at least a 3.2. I can't scavenge more claymores, so I must be doing something right. It's hard to camp in the same spot in that game and do well.
I was a gold-cross on my 360 account for cod4 with a 1.90 k/d and unlocked all the gold guns, did almost all the challenges (couldn't shoot a claymore through a wall and get someone legit yet though, or Misery Loves Company where you cock a grenade and kill yourself and another person). Cod4 was more run and gun style gameplay. My most-used classes were grip SAW steady aim/stopping power, silenced MP5 x3 frags, SP, extreme conditioning, and the AK-47. I actually didn't use the M16 often as I thought it was overpowered - the same reason why I avoid grenade launchers/one man army.
I have a "terrible" win/loss ratio because you get kicked out of servers quite frequently on PSN when playing mw2 (black ops as well). This counts as a loss and your k/d isn't affected, although your total kill count is. When you join another match, there's a good chance you're down by 4000-7000 when you join, which also counts as a loss. I quit out of games if they're too laggy or if there's any hackers. I share the account with my brother who is worse than me, plays objective games only, and "plays to win"; he frequently quits matches like my reasons above. After all this, I think my win/loss ratio is ~1.8 but don't quote me as I can't check with PSN offline, and I still have a good K/D. If I start a match, usually only good clans that talk can win. That or my team must be new to the game or really terrible.
