Help Moment 2.1 Update Thread

No, it will not have to be done in a store (although i'm sure that'll be an option). You will be able to install via your computer.

Looking at the Samsung Moment but don't want a glitchy phone as I am coming from a Blackberry which has been flawless as far as glitches. Can you futher explain the "Nuiance" comment that is still there?
 
why would you be hitting update firmware? after cl14 update there is an update android button. It probably won't work upon the initial release of 2.1 I'm assuming but at least it's there
 
hi.. I am sorry to put this here, but since we are talking about updating the phone ect. I JUST got my phone last week. um, or was that a week ago? well anyways. I don't even know where to update my Moment to 1.6 is it worth downloading 1.6?
and then the 2.0 i am sure if i go to the Sprint store when it's available is where we get that??
I am sorry if i sound dumb. I just got an Android and I love it, but i need to be able to unleash it's full potential.

To everyone that is having issues with apps in the marketplace, it sounds like you are having the same issues that I and a bunch of other people using the leaked 2.1 Hero update. Protected apps don't work because a certain component of the leak is only for testing purposes (I can't really explain it well, but the bottom line is that protected apps don't work).

Anyway, I have 4 friends with Moments so I'm kinda keeping an eye on what's going on for them, which is why I'm over here and not in the Hero forums =P
 
You should be keep a closer eye on sdx than here if you want to know more lol they are going to town on 2.1 over there. That's where the magic happens lol
 
All my apps are working except Moment Flash (which was made for 1.5). I've had no problems getting my two paid apps or any of the free apps to work. I only have about 6-8 of them though.
 
Yeah same for me only 2 so far not working for me are moment flash and slacker radio but then again all streaming music apps aren't working :(
 
I have been using the DD03 build from SDX all day and it seems it still has the airplane mode bug from 1.5

I'm not to happy.

I really wanted this phone, but, even with 2.1 this phone is glitchy I really am going to have to pass. And you dont know how much I really wanted this phone. But I had Palm Treo phones before my Blackberry and that Treo was nothing but bugs and even though the Blackberry doesn't have all the cool things like the Moment it has been reliable. I just cant go back to a buggy phone.

This is sad for me darn it.

Well you have to remember that this 2.1 update probably isn't the final version.


Also the battery life seems to be worse than the CL14, but its still well worth it!
 
I know I'm just saying nothing wrong with you posting if anything your being more helpful then everyone confusing leaked with official lol
