Yes use DD03 only, Just use SWUpgrader to flash it. Put DD03 .tar in the binary file.

Exactly, there is no official update, yet, we do know it's coming soon... most likely these so called "blogs" are confusing the leaked version with the official update.

Which is why I posted a thread with a link stating that this is just the leaked version....

This is just the LEAKED version that everyone is messing with at the moment. So, no, it's not Sprint's version. I don't know what the actual file will clear up.

You can't say it is not the Sprint version because nobody has the 'official' Sprint version to compare it to!!! Whether it is the final version or not we don't know until it is oficially rolled out and it can be compared...but I'll take this version over 1.5 anyday...
Also the version we downloaded was just the same as using the Sprint updater to update your Moment with CL14--that is NOT rooting. Rooting 2.1 is different than adding 2.1 to your moment FWIW

I don't remember the SWUpgrader coming in a zip file. I thought it was a direct install from the Sprint web site.

This is probably the tester version, but I haven't had any problems with it yet. I really like it. When the "official" comes out, I'll either flash that, or see what the guy over at SDX has come up with.

Instructions for people who don't know how to flash to 2.1.

I don't know if CL14 is required or not for this update, but it doesn't hurt to have it on there before you flash it.

Flashing the device is easy. What you'll need
Samsung Moment CL14(like I said, I don't know if you need it but I wouldn't doubt that you do)
USB cable
Sprint Update utility( http://www6.sprint.com/downloads/samsung/executables/SamsungMoment_Update.exe )
Samsung Moment update
Winrar, or other extraction execute that supports 7z.

I don't know the difference between the two builds given in the package, I've tried out dd03 and have had no issues with it. I'll try the other one, and see what happens.

NOTE-THIS WILL NOT WIPE YOUR SD CARD. IT WIPES THE PHONE, WHICH INCLUDES APPS, SETITNGS, SMS, MMS MESSAGES, AND CONTACTS.

Step 1. Download everything needed for this.
Step 2. In the folder that you setup the flash tool in,(Mine is C:/program files(x86)/Samsung Electronics/SWUpgrade/Models/Binary) take the cl14 update and put it somewhere you can back it up. You'll need this in case the flash goes bad. Now, take either of the 2 packages inside the main 7z file, and put ONE of them inside the Binary folder. I put in DD03 to try it out first.
Step 3. Run the flash tool. The Flash tool will give you the steps necessary on how to complete the flash of the phone. Like how to put it into download mode and what not. It takes at the most 10 minutes to complete the flash.
Step 4. After the phone is booted back up, there are 2 things you can do the check if the flash worked. Here's what I did. Go into your settings/about phone. Here's what my phone listed
Model Number SPH-M900
Firmware Version 2.1-update1
Baseband ersion S:m900.8.OS.DD03
Kernel version 2.6.29
Build Number ECALIR.DD03
Hardware version M900.8.0

And, try logging into your market with your google account. At first, it might give you an error, but should work after retrying. If not, try the other build.

I'm going to try the other build given and see what it does.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but keep in mind that your hotspots have all been deleted, you'll need to set them up again.

It looks like the option for sending certain contacts straight to voice mail is no longer there , or I can't figure it out. I'm going to miss that!

I've had DD03 on my phone all day as well, but about a half hour ago I switched over to the DC23 build. I haven't noticed any real difference in the two really. Winrar shows DD03 bigger than DC23, but DC23 is packed and DC03 is not. So I'm gonna run more tests on it and see what happens.

DC23 feels a lot smoother compared to DD03. However, after trying to flash a couple of times again DC23 does not grab a connection to the google servers for Market. Other than that, DC23 is more fluid, but DD03 is actually 100% usable from what I tested out.

Yeah, it just doesn't like encrypted connections for some reason. It sees them fine and tries to connect but acts like the key is wrong even though I've typed them again and again.

I have to agree. I used DC23 for about 8 hours so far. The only problem that I have had, is with PandaHome. And that was adding the multiple screens (Forceclose). Restarted the phone and everything is working just fine.

Just installed the DD03 and so far so good!..
Seems like the phone it's running smoother ...
As a lot of ppl said the old gallery shows up, camera improved a lot 3 home screens you tube app records and uploads video (i'm not sure if this was possible with 1.5)
loved the voice search, hate the stock apps. The MArket is running fine for me
Installed Astro file manager, handcent sms, advanced task killer, Pic Say pro (back up) and snapphoto pro (also back up)
All of them run fine.
I have to keep playing with it.. and see what else I can find

Ohh I forgot and just looking to my downloads in the market just found out that google maps has an update.

i love it no problems yet half a days work in make sure after you install it you reboot once or twice it should work out the kinks! can anyone tell me how to install joeys rom with the live wall papers?
