Root Most stable 2.2?

Been out of the loop for awhile waiting for Froyo to come out for this thing. Did a search, but no results. Anyone here tried a lot of 2.2 have feedback on the most currently stable with least amount of stuff removed?

I'm still on 1.05 radio. It is appreciated if you could recommend a radio too. I heard 2.05 is good and 2.15 is bad. Just turned s-off and fully rooted.

Thanks a bunch.

If you have s-off, just do the 2.15 radio.

As for ROMs, there are a lot of really really great ROMs out there. adrynalyne makes some really awesome ROMs that are stable, fast, and themeable. I would also check out SkyRaider (Sense or Vanilla), and JagerRom. There are a bunch of others that work great too, but those are the big ones. There is also CM6, but that is still pretty buggy right now.

Thanks for the reply, I think I will go with SkyRaider. It looks very stable and includes all the Sense goodies that everyone but me hates. =)

I tried cyanogenmod and was unhappy with the random rebooting, freezing and force closing.

I am using Skyraider and very happy with it.

Using Quandrant, Skyraider is slower than Cyanogenmod.

I thought the random rebooting was only with my Inc. on cyanogen. I'm still hung up over sense or Vanilla. Coming from a moto D1, it seems to me like this thing is a battery hog! I use juice defender but I'm wondering if its sense ui or the android system itself.

Any suggestions?

I know in the Droid subforums they have members post full reviews of each and every rom. I'm thinking it might be helpful here if we could start something along those lines.

Check out FrankenRom beta 6, so far its amazing! really stable, custom kernal. And ive heard tons of bad things about 2.05 radio.

Cy rom is unstable on the Inc because it is a generic rom designed for several devices, but the Inc suffers as a result. The custom kernel with OC is also a problem.

I was spoiled with Cy roms on the G1, so surprised the Cy rom is actually an RC, even though it has a lot of issues on the Inc. Mapping of the emmc memory is very problematic on the current version.

I've been running this combination for quite some time now without one, 'yes' not one single issue; SkyRider 2.5.2 Sense + Hydra 32 Kernel-Overclocked #4 + 2.15.00.07.28 radio + S-OFF......Very stable and fast !

Frankenrom is very stable and has the Sense UI goodies too. Haven't had one single problem so far. Haven't found many themes for it yet but loving it so far.

I am liking Skyraider 2.52 sense, but the notification lights do not seem to work...

I may try Frankenrom, since adrynalyne takes care in his work. Does notification lights work? Simple things drive me mad.

I really like SkyRaider 2.5.2 Vanilla. I'm also running 2.15 radio, no problems. I AM going to try Adry's frankenrom b6 rom today, purely out of curiosity, and because I can :) but I can't imagine it being better than my current setup.

I am now getting the low on space error. I thought that was fixed with 2.2??

Just like with 2.1, I am getting the same error now with Skyraider 2.52 Sense. This is just plain stupid. No large caches, no social apps and 250mb free app space.

Dang.

Yes, the notification lights do work with Frankenrom.

Aw jeez, I was all set to try SkyRaider 2.5.2.. Now I guess Frankenrom.

I'm just about to root - really paranoid about it only because I love this phone.

Newbie question: are there any obvious graphical changes in the different Sense roms? I've gotten way too used to the interface and setup to learn a new one.

Does the camera, video camera and gps work for these suggested ROMs?

Yes, at least for me. Im on Skyraider 2.5.2 (vanilla) with hydrakernel ocuv 1.13 #3 and the 2.15 radio with s-off. *Whew* thats a mouthful or handful...typing...anyway. It works wonderfully. I want to try out frankenrom b6 and jager. But whats this im reading about one rom to rule them all?
