The Moto 360 is easily the best looking smartwatch on the market thanks to its traditional circular design. But is there more to the hockey-puck shaped smartwatch? We explore all the ins and outs of the Moto 360 in our full review.

I believe that was my main power draw from the post I made in the battery thread. Mini Launcher is a battery pounder.

I went to another watch store yesterday in search of the perfect watch band for my watch. The guy asked me is that the Apple watch and why I didn't get an Apple one? Talking about a real isheep. I simply told the guy I like HTC products and I like the Motorola 360 watch. Someone else on a blog said he was asked if his Moto 360 was an iwatch too. I'm going to have to respond one day and say only Motorola makes beautiful smartwatches and HTC produces the most beautiful phones.

I did not fully charge my Moto 360 last night. I threw it on the charger for 20 minutes this morning so it got to about 83%. I walked out the door at 8:30 AM with 83% and returned home at 6:45 tonight with 8% remaining. The watch charges pretty fast when compared to a phone. And if you really need battery juice you can plug the charging dock for the watch into any standard car cell phone charger for any Android smartphone. The dock has a port for a micro usb cable.

I put some work in on the watch today with only 83%. I didn't really think about plugging the charging dock for the watch into my truck until I got home. I didn't need to anyway. The watch was not sitting idle all day at all. I texted, used it to change music selections in my truck coming from my phone, and checked to see how much I walked today. I allowed 3 different jewelers to handle the watch so the screen was turning on/off as people handled the watch. Talking about nail biting to see others hold my watch! They were gentle with her. I'm thinking don't drop it because it's too beautiful. Not having to look at my phone when a text comes in is freakin awesome! All the jewelers complimented the watch and one said they've never seen a watch machined like that before. Quite a remarkable comment coming from a jeweler.

Also, Best Buy has screen protectors for the watch.

Bottom Line: The battery isn't a problem unless you're going to talk to your watch all day and in front of people. I went to Chipotle and I decided it was best not to reply to text messages by talking into my watch like Dick Tracy.

Cons: (Not really.)
1. I only wish the phone could work independently from my phone and could utilize WiFi on its own.
2. There is lag every once in a blue moon, but only us nerds will notice it.
3. Extra bands for watch not available. A jeweler said it's best to wait for Motorola to release their metal and leather bands. He told me leather wears easily and men normally wear leather in the winter and metal bands in the winter. You sweat in the summer which is not good for a leather band. And he said you don't want an after market metal band to not fit well and mess up the watch.

Okay, some advice needed please. Just got mine, turned it on, paired it as it had about 25% battery, it downloaded something displaying a circular loading bar as it did that. I was charging while that was going on so it got to 50%. Finished the download and then it said to charge my watch and won't let me do anything. It's up to 57% now and I'm just wondering if this seems like what other folks dealt with too.

How do in respond to my texts? I can see my message come in, swipe right to get more actions and all I get is. "show on device"

Really? That's weird. Text comes in, up to show it, right shows history, right again shows reply, right again shows show on phone.

Not for me. Right just says show in device. Gonna try switching my default messaging app to hangouts and see what happens.

You have to pretty much fully charge it before you can do anything with it. the good news is that it charges very quickly, bad news is it runs through a charge pretty quickly too. it has taken quite a bit of trial and error for me with this thing

I think it has something to do with the compatability between the note 3 and the 360. I have a Note 3 too, and have had to play with apps to get them to work right. One thing I found is that you can respond to gmail emails from the watch, but not from Outlook.

Keep playing with it and see what you can get to work. for me, the huge game changer was when I found a post telling me to download the mini launcher app. it makes everything WAY better and easier to navigate. once I did that, it totally changed my experience with the 360.

good luck!

How the heck do you make a USB connection? Is there a hidden connector somewhere?

EDIT: Google was my friend and I looked it up. Pin connectors under the watch band. Crazy.

Oh, the NOTE TO SELF feature is just too cool.

I cannot tell you how helpful this is for me, someone with a bit of OCD tendencies who likes to have my ducks in a row and not let anything slip through the cracks.

In case you are unaware, tap watch face or "okay Google" if your face is already on, say "NOTE SO SELF" wait until it acknowledges that you are trying to take a note, then speak whatever it is you want noted (i.e. "Hey, remember to call Sally Jessie Raphael for her birthday tonight."

Your phone/computer will instantly get an email with the subject line NOTE TO SELF and the message will be whatever you spoke.

I find this super handy. Just another reason to love this gadget. ...And to think it is in its infancy.

Only thing I hate about the voice input is that, there's too many times that I've experienced it getting the reminder/note wrong. This includes text messages.

The other day, I was running 10-15 minutes late to work, so I decided to try using the watch to send a text message to my boss. I said, "I'm running a little late to work. Wilshire Blvd. is backed up." The message was sent before I figured out it sent this message: "I'm running a little late towards will sure boulevard is backup."...LOL. I wish it would have the same function as how it is on the phone, where it verifies the message you were trying to send, before sending it.

I've done similar things like try to set a calendar event/appointment for a specific day like Thursday and it ended up setting for Tuesday.

Oh, if you only knew...

I've been using that name as a "pretend" student in my class for years. Meaning if I have to model something for the kids and I'm pretending to be a student, that's one of my go to names. That, Hebert Schtul (said in a Dutch accent) and Bubba Stewey. First graders are the best age to teach because everything is funny to them. Great for the ego, haha.

Yes, I've kept my notes and text messages simple. Takes a smidgen of forethought, but I'm very used to that having sent many as voice text through S-Voice, which is not very good, haha.

Oh yeah, s-voice on the road, I actually don't mind now cuz it reads the message to me before sending. It just lags compared to Google voice.

By far the best experience I have had with voice search and messaging was actually with windows mobile, prior to their discontinuing. I don't know how they did it, but their voice activation always seemed to work perfectly and was really responsive. And that was prior to siri.
