Help Moto 360 System Update thread

The problem reported was something to do with the watch face being shifted and not aligning properly, but I thought it only affected non-us models. LWX48P was the originally scheduled update, but there are reports of LWX48T rolling out now.

The Motorola boards are loaded with vitriolic posts about not getting the promised update. I'd like to see every one of them get the buggy update and then have to wait a month for the fix ... but that's just my Christmas Spirit kicking in. :goofydroid:

I agree. I saw the posts there too. I thought about posting something snarky like "If the delay in this patch has caused you physical harm, please immediately seek professional treatment at the nearest emergency facilities. Everyone else, please remain patient." :D

In principle I agree. I'd much prefer the proper update a few days late to a buggy release that causes more headaches than happiness. I suppose the root of my annoyance is that I have 2 Motorola devices that should have updated neither of which have. It's frustrating but in the end everything is working (well) so I have no reason to complain.

I was one of the cats who received the initial update on thursday (im in los angeles). yesterday (monday) around 635pm pacific, i received another update--this must be to fix the issues of that thursday update...

Quick question about the N6 @shalemail ... is it possible you inadvertently dismissed the update notification for 5.01? I've done that a few times when I wasn't quite ready to update and it takes a week or two for the notification to roll back around.

I would suspect they are going to fix those that got the buggy update before they update us who still have an older but relatively stable OS. That's what I would do, and I are a geenieus. :goofydroid:

No this isn't my first rodeo, I have been a part of the Motorola feedback network for several years since the original Atrix, I wouldn't have inadvertently dismissed an update I don't think. Mark on the Motorola boards also has an ATT N6 and he has not gotten the 5.0.1 update. So it's not just me. Patience ...

I just checked - on my 360 and BAM it started downloading. YAY. :batdroid:

Have you applied the update yet? If not, would you mind checking something for me?

Interested to know your GP Services and Android Wear software versions on the watch before you update.

I have the latest GPServices and AW software on the phone, but the version numbers on my watch show outdated software. I can't get it to update for lovin' or money.

edit: On my watch, I have:
Android Wear 1.0.1.1526154

Google Play Services 6.5.90 (1610726-534)

Well I may have spoken too soon. I think it's hung up in the download. When I click on system updates it goes to a gray circle with an x in it and says downloading at the bottom of the screen - with a green line going about a 1/4 of the way around the gray circle, and has been like that now for 20 minutes or so. And during this time, my 360 is not getting push notifications from my phone. (It does show as connected.) I am at 54% battery FYI. So it's hung up or one HALIBUT of a file size.

AW 1.0.1.1526154
GP 6.5.90 (1610726-534)

Might be because your battery is under 80%. I thought it had to be at least 80% for the update to apply.

Me too, however, this is not application it's the download itself. and the latest is we are almost to half way around that big gray circle. So it IS downloading, just at a snails pace. It may be the horrible terrible no good very bad WiFi here at work.

It took till I got home to finish downloading the file. I had 3% battery left.
BUT I charged, it installed and is now functioning properly. Seems to be some nice enhancements to the UI and some neat new add ons.
AW 1.0.5.1643897
GPS 6.5.90(1610726-534)

Still exploring. ;)

Still nothing here. I'm meeting a friend for lunch and if his $50 LG G has the update before me, I'm going to be seriously peeved.

I think the battery might be an issue. I was off charge at 6am and I am down to 78% already. Seems to be burning fast. I may need to do a reset and see if it will settle in. I know battery has not been an issue prior to this for me.

Are you using Facer?
I don't have the update to the watch yet but my battery is tanking! Yesterday and today, horrible. I put it on at 8 this morning and I'm already down to 58%!! Yikes.

No I am currently using the "customize your watch face" option on Connect. (For my Santa)
And it's eased up a bit on drain at this point, I may have been over reacting, it's at 68% now so that's 10% drop in 2 hours and 40 minutes or so...not too bad. I am gonna keep an eye on it and see what's up. It's still dropping faster than pre-update but I can hopefully make it through the day at least. I was worried it might die before I left work at 5 the way it was going.

Facer has updated like what 12 times this week? (Oh and speaking of, I now have facer and facer for android 5.0 when I attempt to change faces by long pressing the watch face - kind of annoying, I think one facer is enough.)

Actually, in my drop-down, I show Wear as Connected, run sync loop. It's been like that for at least the last hour. Ugh. I bet that's the whole issue. I switched from Facer and the drop in battery has seemingly slowed. UGH.
