Help Moto e5 camera app auto-crops my face

My e5 has decided to start cropping photos in which my face appears. It's drawing orange rectangles around my face, and that's all it saves in the photo.

Any idea why it's doing this? I tried Motorola/Lenovo support. They had no idea.

try clearing cache and data for the camera app. also have you looked into your camera's setting? i do not have your phone so i'm not familiar with your camera app.

You may have it on selfie mode.
Check your camera settings

With help from tech support, this problem was resolved. I think a reset did it.
