Motorola Atrix ftw o.o

I was more thinking $299 like the Iphone 32g but I hope it is the $199.

I think they'll make it $199 like the 16GB iPhone 4 considering it has the same 16GB onboard. Also most high end Android phones I've seen have been less than the highest iPhone in the past. I think they continue this trend.

Spec wise, this is the Android phone I wanted from the get go: 5MP camera +with+ an LED flash (it does make a substantial difference), front-facing camera, HD video, 4" display, and HOPEFULLY a solid GPS and _reasonable_ battery life.

I'm currently using a Captivate, but I'd probably take the hit and move on to this phone.

re: 5MP camera. For a P&S replacement, that's more than adequate, the imaging sensors used on most phones work well with that image size, and it still gives you a decent format to work with (you could easily print 8x10s or larger). Higher resolution and you're just going to introduce noise, artifacts, etc. If you really need more, get a mid/high grade P&S or just move on to a DSLR. :)

[edit]

FWIW, if the resolution being reported is in fact 960x540, that's ~275PPI which should look pretty amazing!

I wish the phone was released today. This is the most exciting for at&t in years, and I cannot wait till they are not the only ones with the iPhone any more.

i'd be proud of them more if they went back to unlimited data or at least raised the cap a bit....

one could dream lol

Well I'm still on unlimited so if they take that away from me then we'll have words. No way I could stay under 2GB/month that cap is too low. It should be 5GB/month. Although they say that 98% of users never use 2GB so they set the cap there.
