Motorola Triumph Screen/Notification Bar Problem

Okay so the problem started a few days ago. I couldnt pull down my status bar so i tried to restart, hot boot, pulling out the battery, and i reflashed the actual rom itself. I cant find anything on the issue and it seems that it may be a hardware problem where the screen is just not working but its only that top section i can pull the notification bar down in landscape mode just not in portrait mode. So, what should i do? Is there a way to fix it...will VM cover it and send me a new one or am i just stuck with the broken phone???

Sure sounds like it's a hardware problem if reflashing the ROM didn't fix the issue. Have you tried flashing the stock ROM to make sure it isn't an issue with the particular ROM you are running (assuming it's not stock)?

I believe as long as you are within the 1 year warranty period, they will send you out a "new" phone- maybe someone who has had to do a return can comment on this further...

As a work around, depending on your launcher, you could configure a gesture (like a down swipe) to show notifications. I use a tap to show notifications and a long press to show/hide status bar. Just depends on your launcher set up. I know it's not much of a fix.

It'd try to wipe and reinstall the ROM, if you don't like the gesture suggestion.

Virgin is very lenient when it comes to replacement phones, give them a call and plead your case. Good luck.
