Or any other LED flashlight app that I tried. Anyone have one that's working in Froyo 2.2. I prefer a widget ... but I'll take anything at this point.

Not working on mine. I tried it before posting, and just now (again). No werkie.
That is NOT an LED flashlight. It uses the screen which is totally useless for my purposes. I need one that uses the 2 LEDs for the camera flash.

Made sure flash was working by taking a pic, and then set the flash to always on.
Droidlight LED Flashlight = FAIL
SimpleLED Droid Flashligt = FAIL
Flashlight LED = FAIL
Flash Droid (Flashlight) = FAIL
Droid LED Flashlight = FAIL
(on a side note, search for flashlight in the market - and prepare to be amazed at how many flashlight (using phone screen, not LED) apps thre are!

Umm ... yes, but not what I'm looking for either.
All they're doing is firing up the camera app with the flash enabled, and then covering the screen with a pic. It did make me laugh though. hehe

It does not do the job like moto torch does but its the only thing I could find.

I've emailed the dev ... hopefully it will be fixed soon. I use that app way too much.

This is part of why I quickly went back to 2.1
Oh nice! Because I would turn on mototorch before I opened the video camera to do this.

I will be fixing this in the next version. I have it working on my Nexus One running 2.2, so I will assume it will also work on the DROID.

Yeah thanks for the email. I certainly didn't think that 2.2 would break it.

But Sun isn't the same. You can't use other apps while the light is on. That, to me, is useless. I can use my camera app if that's all I wanted to do.

I do believe that with the changes in froyo, it means that my app wont be able to be used at the same time as the camera. But since using the flash with video is added by default now, maybe it won't be too big of an issue.
However, I think the light will be as bright as it can be.

I would go as far to say that it's a non-issue. Just get my MotoTorch working again ... PLEASE!
