So I just signed up for netflix and so far have loved it. But when faced with all the options I draw a complete brain fart on what to choose. Got Hot tub time machine and 500 days of summer, I threw a bunch of Scrubs and anime in my queue but am lacking in movie, any recomendations for movies to choose?

I'm a fan of Stoner comedies, Documentaries, and some action.

Try proper films like The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and Alien.

If you want to stick to your tastes, try Office Space and Clerks.

Half Baked, any Cheech and Chong movie. If you like metal music, try to find Metal: A Headbangers Journey. It's a pretty good documentary about the history of metal and the various types of it.

Did I follow you? hmmmm... oops looks like I did! Shoot Im the Stalker now!

Well you all should watch Spaceballs, if youre into that sort of thing. Someone else had to of mentioned it already though.

My favs:
Spaceballs
Princess Bride
Star Wars (almost all)
Legend
Labyrinth
Dark Crystal
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Indiana Jones (all)
Shall we Dance (Japanese Version)
Galaxy Quest
Hot Rod
Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift (I know its silly but I used to street race, and I love cars, in fact I think a car gets me more excited than a man does)
Kung Fu Hustle
Lord of the Rings
Matrix
(super hero movies like: Iron Man, Spiderman, Transformers, ETC)
Full Monty
and many more. :)

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Hoarders (TV Show)
Dexter (TV Show)
Rescue Me (TV Show)
The Constant Gardener
Fargo
Syriana
Sex Drive
Cashback
Defiance
The Machinist
Taxi Driver

13th Warrior
Based on a true story, adapted from Michael Crichton's book 'Eaters of the Dead'

It's actually not based on a true story. All of the quotes and excerpts from Ahmad Ibn Fadla were made up. Michael Crichton was making an entertaining version of Beowulf because one of his friends said Beowulf was boring. Unless Beowulf is based on a true story.

And +1 for Pineapple Express. Also Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and I Love You, Man (see a pattern?), Clerks II

Other great movies are Fight Club, Memento, The Prestige, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Dark Knight

You just never know:rolleyes:
(i've actually heard it both ways):D
Still a great movie though imho

If you like dramas, "Doubt" is excellent and I believe it's on Netflix.

sniper_rawb - I would suggest starting a new thread over at the Droid 2 forum. We'd be happy to discuss this with you over there. This thread is unrelated. :)

Stoner movies: Smiley Face, The Wackness, Leaves of Grass
Documentaries: Burden of Dreams, Capturing the Friedmans
Action: Running Scared, Desperado
