Help Moving pics to computer

Having some problems here.
1) Sometimes Windows 7 doesn't even recognize the phone's existence.
2)When I copy the pictures I have to scroll thru all of them to get an icon of the picture.
3)When I transfer the copied files only half of them go to the new folder. Granted there are a lot of pics but....

Anyone got any ideas on how to do this better?

I'm wondering if those issues are driver related.

I'd do a search for the latest X drivers and install them on Windows 7 to see if that's the remedy.

Right now it's on "Windows media sync".

It says some pic files may be 'corrupted' but they show up on the phone fine.

Phone not recognized on "PC mode" and "Mass storage" brings up the %@#%@# Verizon site....and causes a phone reset.

Use Mass Storage Mode, navigate to the DCIM directory on the drive that shows up, and copy them that way.

PC mode is a funky thing. A lot of cameras have it, too, and it requires a certain amount of back-and-forth communication and a lot more driver interaction than the mass storage mode does. So when things go wrong, it's hard to pin down where.

Mass Storage Mode just directly mounts your SD card to your computer. Lots easier.
