I did vol up n it took me to download mode????? Should it, it says downloading firmware

You should flash recovery to laf (download mode), it'll help a lot,

If ur having problem with home button. Soft key (on screen) home buttons work

to get data and phone working delete the muitsim.dsds line in build prop. has the same bugs as cm11
oh yeah u might see an error when u flashed it. it will say error while installing rom but let it continue it will install

If you choose it to, (in settings) yes. Well... Kinda. They'll install to internalSD then be linked to ext_SD partition2

Okay, so! Some info about CM12:
Mute calls now works!!! (main reason I moved back to stock, don't ask.)
Also, the keybutton fix found on page one = no go. Root is indeed here (flash SuperSU) and you should also install gapps found here:
