Msl?

Called boost today and the csr wouldn't give it to me. Tried the alogcat method and that didn't work. Don't know if it's aJB thing. Any ideas? I need it for mms fix

Or u can call the automated tech support and choose the reprogram option..it should take u through the steps and give u the 6 digit msl.

I know the older (prior to TW ICS) ROMs you could use the getprop method. I think a patch is needed that we can flash in to allow that to work again.

I also have called boost (both automated and a actual person) and have had no issues getting it. It is easier to just tell them you are having a data/MMS issue. I do know that when I went to GB27 it will ask you for the MSL for a SCRTN reset, and I imagine the same holds true for GC01.

I can confirm this works on my GB27. I flash the toolbox from FI03 then boot the phone and open a terminal emulator and type the getprop ril.MSL which WILL give me my MSL. After that, go back into recovery and flash back the stock toolbox (also included in this link). This should work for GC01 (just use the stock for GB27 for the return). I may test leaving the FI03 one in to see if it affects daily use, but I do know it booted fine with no errors in my normal startup apps (xposed, droidwall etc)

It wasn't hard at all to do, and for those who do not want to call Boost, this is a good option.

As always, do have a nandroid backup before flashing anything.

Okay i have my msl, i just called again and tried with a different rep. I've been thinking of flashing touched by sg4. Can anyone tell me about their experience with that rom? Gonna look at the mms fix institutions again.

yes, the MMS settings have not changed and the entries in the ##3282# menu are all that you need to change on a TW ROM labeled for Sprint to make it work on Boost.

So this is what i have on my current rom. I saw the url settings. Do i have to go into all 3 mmsc tabs and edit something/put it back to how it is now? i guess im asking do i need to write down how it is now in those top 3 tabs MMSC URL, MMSC Proxy and MMSC Proxy Port? And after flashing am i just focusing on those 3 tabs for mms fix?

The first one has the url. The second has the IP, and the third is the port number (this last one should not need to be changed). Just enter them exactly as you see them in the picture in the mms fix post you linked to, and you will be all set for MMS on Boost.
