MT Battery, not that bad

Hey all, since I have stopped using Virgin I decided that I would see how long the Triumph could actually go with out charging, while still using it.

My results were actually quite impressive (to me at least) The battery status up time said 331 hours and it was at 19% that is almost 2 full weeks with no charge. To get these results I did have data, wifi, blue tooth, and gps off.. but i used it every day to text people and make phone calls to people that didn't need to be bothered with my temporary number before I ported. This was while running on G60s CM7

So I really believe that the Triumphs battery is getting a bad rep for no reason... sure I had much of the functions on the phone off, but that is what makes your phone die so fast... I haven't seen any android device have a "long" lasting battery with any of those on constantly. My Razr gets the same battery life I was getting with the MT.

So lesson here is, you can get better battery life out of your MT, if you moderate how much you use the functions on your phone. If you go somewhere and wont be using it to terribly much other than texting or calling, consider shutting off data, wifi, and gps.

Thought I'd share this with you all.

that is very impressive indeed, i dont tend to hate on the battery, i hate on how the stock right outta the box froyo handled battery managment tho lol

i typically have everything except data turned off, and on stock right outta the box, altho i did make alot of calls and texts, i was running into trouble getting past 2 days, it would usually be in the red zone after around 22-24 hours and dead sometime between 24-32 hours

as soon as i switched to a CM7 Rom i got 48 hours and still had like 40% battery lol, and i still usually leave everything off except data

so far the longest ive gotten is 3 whole days on one charge, and i had everything except data off, i was making phone call, sending texts, and even browsing the web a bit and at the 3 day mark i still had l think 9%

so yea lol all and all i dont hate my battery, just really didnt like froyo's management system lol

but i can deff. see, turning data off as well, and not using the phone for web browsing, just text and calls, and not that many calls and text, you could get pretty far, i didnt think a week was in the cards but you just showed me different lol

The MT got plenty of problems, but in my opinion the battery it's not one of them, I don't see no difference between the MT and the Itouch or LG Optimus (my old phone)
If we can only get the camera on ICS...;)

Why? The camera was the worst thing on the phone, I went through 6 Triumphs before Virgin and myself both agreed that the issue was unfixable. I wanted to use it for some indoor photos of items that I wanted to sell on ebay. Total green blob on any indoor photos under fluorescent lighting.
