Multi view update

Quick question guys, has everyone had to update their phone to get it or have some got it pre installed?

I believe some of the recent batches come installed but others need to have it installed. Click on settings, about device and update device to complete it. Do it on wifi as its a largish update.

@bonerp. Sounds like UK has got it settled, but US has different updates right? :/ Hope they come out with one soon, i totally need multi-view

So will the US models have the multi view function? It'd be sad if it didn't its kinda what makes the note a note lol.

Reason I asked this is because when my phone arrived in the post, the box has 2 small seals (1 either side) and a longer seal at the end, the 2 small seals had been opened which made me slightly suspicious, thats why I asked because mine already had the update installed, whereas my 1st Note 2 had an update message and I went through the update process to get multiview.
So I have wrapped it all up ready for return tomorrow and maybe a box that is sealed next time ;)

Ohhhhh yours had the update applied before arriving to you. Now I see what you were talking about. Would've been nice they included a note explaining why it had been opened.
Back in June when the US was waiting for their devices to be shipped, they were held up in customs so a lot of folks rec'd their new phones with the box having already been opened. Had to be inspected.

Not sure if this is why it was opened, they didn't say that, the sales guy just said they often open one randomly and just send an sms for quality control.
If this is normal then I might hold off and keep it, its working fine, if not then I have a return number to exchange it, will just cost me postage one way.

Ugh I just spent the last hour trying to figure out how to get multi view up. Frustrating. No one from the USA has it?

I spoke to Samsung and they said we do not have it (obviously) and we will not be getting it for the US models. So I guess we will see what happens. The Sprint peeps have 14 days to decide to keep it or return it. I am pretty bummed out. This was one of the MAIN features that made this device special. The size and the S Pen are the only other 2 things that might make me keep it, but other then that I am not sure if there is anything that is wowing me over my 2 1/2 year old EVO 4g.

I just can't see why they wouldn't not include it in the near future

I have only used the feature to see if it works, but after, not even come close to using it. I appreciate that people want this feature but this would mean nothing to me if it was a deal breaker. Still its only set apps that work (so I have heard) so maybe it will come later for you guys accross the pond, where you can add apps of your choice :)

The MAIN reason I know I would use this multiscreen option is for Youtube videos. I could watch them while doing something else. esp while they download. I am so impatient while they dl I always think of a million other things I could or should be doing.
Even if we could use the Popup app anytime in any screen or app that would be fantastic. I REALLY REALLY love this feature esp when I am in an email. So maybe it's a toss up. I must say the Popup feature is a fantastic surprise I was not expecting. I LOVE it!

Can't believe that Samsung( or your carrier) would leave this feature out in the near future, but they did omit the screen record feature as I asked earlier in the thread, I would happily swap the multi screen for the screen record lol
