Multiple entries added to contacts

Sometimes when I add a new person to contacts, multiple duplicate entries get created. I've seen 2 to 3 entries for a new contact, and this has happened roughly 3 times since I got my phone a month or so ago.

The phone just wants you to have more friends. Even if they are imaginary.

What method are you guys using to add these contacts? Is it every contact that you add?

same issue. do you use lookout to backup your contacts? i have 2 entries for everyone in my contact book because google synched my contacts after i did the update, and without realizing i already had my contacts back i restored my contacts with lookout giving me duplicates
