Music player recommendations please

probably got better in recent updates then as its drained in its early use (for me), I find WinAmp just about right, plenty of listenting time to and from the Pub :D

Besides its Free which is the main thing for me, I dont see the point in paying for something when there is already an App equally as good for free! (OK PowerAmp has more features but you get my drift)

I'm sorry but you can't compare sound quality to power amp. If you want great sound quality without buying a specific device, this is what to get. For me, its comparative to some of the creAtive devices out there, which imo are better than ipods.

it never has for me and ive used it since first beta
i travel everyday to work and use it for a 1hrs journey to work and a 1hr jouney back every day and it used no more than about 3% in my pocket even in early beta.

winamp isnt bad but in terms of player functionality and sound quality as an audiophile nothing comes close on android
I know he wanted free but this is why i recommended the trial so he could make up his mind
winamp is good for steaming but tbh why would you do that if you are in the same house as the pc and you would transfer the files to the device for mobility purposes outside of your home anyway!!! pointless if you ask me
also wifi transfer of files is very slow as opposed to usb

For me:

Music PlayerPro hands down.

I have tried all the above mentioned players and have been using them for at least a week (not mortplayer...) and PlayerPro is hands down the best, the best looking and more....
But, it's not free...

I've been playing with poweramp. Yeah very nice. I'll keep with it ti lthe end of the trial, and then give winamp a go. I might convert to winamp on my computer anyway as I just got rid of itunes, and songbird isn't as fast and slick as I'd hoped. So if I switch to winamp on my lappy, surely its the way forward on my desire.

Thanks for all your opinions.

Anyone got a guide on setting up wireless sync with winamp? I've enabled it on my desire, but there's nothing showing up in winamp on my laptop. Haven't used winamp since version 2 so I'm a bit out of touch with.

edit: restarted phone. all working. looks like winamp is the winner
