Help Music with headphone issue

I'm having an issue where in most full screen games I play, if I'm listening to music on the stock app and open the game the headphones will go quiet and the music will start playing out of the external phone speaker. So basically it's not letting me play music while performing with some apps which I swear never happened on other devices. Any workaround for this?

I just received my phone yesterday and had this problem this morning. I spent 45 minutes on hold with Virgin Mobile, but they don't seem to have an answer. Any help is appreciated?

If you could post a logcat to pastebin, I could look for what audio switch is being called, but most likely it's not something easily fixed. (unless it's a matter of an overlooked setting)

I'm having the same issue. It seems to happen when another app plays a sound while music is being played.

I just played two games that I play with music playing and had no problems at all. Granted the games I was playing weren't high end games (Candy Crush and Angry Birds), but it did work. I was using JetAudio as my media player. I also use Volume EQ.

Not sure if a 3rd party media app would fix it or not but it could be worth a try.
