Mute notification on Moto G

Hi,

I have a moto g and am unable to find a way to keep the ringer volume and mute notifications only. I need to turn both off. Not sure if I am just dumb or the phone does not allow it. Appreciate if someone can help me in fixing this.

Notification Bar then Settings then Sound it's under Volumes.
 
That hasa common volume control for both ring and notification. I want only the notification muted.
 
Is it a particular app that's giving you notifications? Just about all of them have settings in which you can disable or silence the notification.
 
I have multiple accounts that push mails or messages to my device. I want to be able to disable at a central location that mutes all notification. Managing individually will be a big pain.
 
That mutes both ringer and notification. That is not what I want. I just want notifications to be muted but the call ring to be audible.
 
Tap volume down, settings icon and push your notification slider to the left.

Or do as post 2 says, both works the same.
