My Desire gets sad when i sleep

This is YABUT (yet-another-battery-usage-thread)

But the problem is rather annoying. When i lay my Desire down as i sleep all is good and dandy.
But after some hours, the battery usage skyrockets. On a normal 8 hours night it can use 30-40% of the battery and it only stops when i unlock it (Found this out with JuicePlotter)

Even after a factory reset it still does it. Any clue to why this is happening ? Only thing i got running on it is sync with my Gmail account.
And is there a program out there that can see what is using the Wifi connection, if that is the problem ?

Any help is appreciated

Doh... forgot some pretty important information.

Wifi is set to shutoff after 15 mins. No 2g/3g data.

And the only reason i found out that something was strange, was because my girlfriends phone didn't do this. Neither did one of my friends.

Might be a rogue app doing something silly in the background, maybe use a task killer to see which tasks are open before you sleep, and close them. If it still drained in hte morning see which apps auto restarted themselves. One of those may be a culprit :p

That was also my next step.
But i haven't found a program that shows what is using the CPU power over time, just how much is used in all.

SystemPanel only shows in all and it is the same with spare parts.
I just want to know what is using the power at 4 in the morning.

JuicePlotter was actually what got me on the track that something was wrong when i left my phone alone for a long time.

Tonight i'm putting SystemPanel on Monitor mode, so i can see if it is Wifi or CPU usage that is draining the battery.

Next step can be taken after knowing that.

Partial Wake looks pretty normal.. small % of Android and a little Internet.

But you gave me an idea. The only thing i have is Facebook and that is set to update every 4th hour.
That could fit with my phone going AWAL 2-3 hours after i go to sleep, as i don't use it a couple of hours before that.

(See, grasping for straws :) )

Nope, only Facebook.
And i read about the calendar app a week or 2 ago.

To bad my problem only occurs after a long standby time or else it would have been really quick to find out.

For today, turning off Facebook Sync, tomorrow, Calendar is going to die.

(This might help the people that say that they get twice the battery life out of their Desire when doing Airplane mode when they don't use it (Works for me, but it is just a workaround))

Disabling Facebook Sync and background data made a difference.
This night it only used 4% power over 8 hours. So my next step is to enable background data and see if that does anything.

Last will then be to enable Facebook again. If i can't replicated it, nothing is sure.
