Shot me too. I would jump Carriers for a 64gb DNA
Interesting one of the reviews in my round-up mentioned that it was in fact Verizon who limited the phone to 16GB.
That would fan the flames for marketing plan. Keep it low, force usage of the "cloud".

Engadget also mentioned they see Verizon being responsible for nixing the microSD slot too, since the J Butterfly has one...
Do you find the screen to be bright enough That was the primary reason I never even considered the GS3....the screen was way too dark even at max brightness. Also how clear and loud is the built-in speaker?

NightAngel79 is right on. When you see the device next to the Galaxy S3 you'll be blown away. The difference is like night and day.
I will say this about the speaker: the back of the device is so flat, that often if it's laying down on something with a little bit of pliability, like a stack of papers for instance, it actually muffles the sound. Hard surfaces like a desk or table are fine, but a few times I've had it sitting on something and didn't even hear it ringing because the speaker was covered.
On the bright side, you can lay it on its screen to avoid that issue, and still have a notification light. I love that little feature.
There are two, one in the speaker grill on the front, and one in the back to the left of the camera lens. Very neat feature IMO.

It all comes down to keeping the subsidized price at 199.00 to compete with the entry level iPhone and Razr. I really believe that. I'm betting that the new screen technology is pretty expensive and both HTC and Verizon wanted to keep the price low.
My gripe is why they didn't offer two models, a 16 and 32 GB models. This also allows them the opportunity to offer a "new or better" one in six months.
This also seems to maybe be a new trend, with the Nexus 4, the DNA and the Note 2 all being limited to onboard storage. What ever the reason, I don't like it.![]()
