Root My Evo is jacked!

Well, where do I begin. I wanted to unroot my Evo, clear all my data off the sd card, and start from scratch again. With that said, here is my problem. I am unrooted per the 'S-ON' listed at the bootloader screen. When I go into recovery, at the very bottom it says the following:

Build : RA-supersonic-v2.3
E: Can't open CACHE:recovery/log

What the hell is that and please tell me I'm not screwed? I unrooted by flashing the Unrevoked S-ON tool and then tried to flash the following per the instructions: PC36IMG_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radi..zip

I don't know what to do now...:(

Okay...well, whatever that did it's now actually doing something positive. :)

Right now it says 'checking..[PC36IMG.zip] and it's updating 6 different items. Post some more in a bit. :)

Also, once this is finished, I should be able to root this thing again right?

Thanks!

By the way, should I remove the two zip files I placed on the sdcard to unroot my Evo, i.e. the PC36IMG and the Unrevoked forever files?

If you arent taking it in, then no you dont have to remove them. You do need to rename the PC36IMG file though or every time you go to hboot it will scan it and ask to flash.

Thanks for the reply Xtreme. I'm not taking it in, but if I plan on flashing AmonRA doesn't it have the same file name?

Yes it would need to be named the same. I rooted mine a while back and had to rename the PC36IMG file I used. I just put Root in front of the name so that I knew what it was for and the bootloader didn't try and flash it.

That's what I'm confused on. The PC36IMG I just placed on my card was to bring my Evo back to factory status because I wanted to unroot and then root again. I guess what I'm asking is this. Do I still need this particular file on my SD card anymore? If not, then when I do flash my custom recovery (AmonRA) there will not be a question of what's being flashed. If I do need to keep it on there then there will be no way for me to tell which image I'm flashing.

Sorry if I'm being a noob...but two files with the same name is a 50% toss up on which one I'm installing.

I would just delete it from your card then. The only reason you would need it is to take you back to stock again for repairs or service.

The file system would not allow for 2 files with exactly the same name. One would be PC36IMG.zip and the other PC36IMG(1).zip or something like that.

As he said...delete them.keep copies on your PC with a name edit like unroot_pc36img etc
Tjhose are not files I keep on my SD card in fear of accidental flash

Okay...I just thought I was in the clear. I'm now having market issues (posted in another thread where I cannot download apps. The main thing I'm worried about is when I boot into recovery (RA-supersonic-v2.3) I now see 'E:Can't open CACHE:recovery/log' again and I'm not sure why. Sheesh! I've followed all the darn steps to get rooted again, flashed a custom recovery, flashed a new ROM, and here we are again. What is that error message?

Mr. Ed, DonB, Extreme, etc...help me out fellas. :\
