Help My Issues with SGS2

Been waiting for that firmware update before I posted this to see if this corrected them, but no luck :

1. In gallery, I want to sort my videos by list, not thumbnails, I have a load of avi's in there, but cant see what is what, as they all have same thumbnail, so without going into the details of them, its impossible to see filename, which includes episode number!

2. When I play one of avi's above (which plays great) then exit and go back, it always starts from beginning and doesnt resume from where I left off. Frustrating!

3. Still not happy with the whole vibrate mode, I cant find an easy way to stick vibrate on with sound off.

4. Cant get the allshare app to work so I can stream from my laptop using xbmc back to phone (not essential, but would be nice)

For your first issue, what you could do is access the movie thru your file explorer instead of the gallery, that way you can seethe name of the movie on the file

...or just use the Videos app?

If you use the videos app you get a thumbnail, and the title.

Also, if you go via the video app it will remember your place (just checked that).

Quickpic is a better gallery app than the inbuilt one too, I don't think it has an option to do what you're talking about, just mentioned it since its worth knowing :)

I'm pretty sure Tasker will be able to do anything you want with regards to vibrate etc.

Not sure about DLNA, I see lots of people are having problems with it, but not got around to trying it myself.

cheer. hadn't spotted that videos app before. that sorts points 1 and 2.

Well point 3 is easy....you can set vibrate to always or just on silent, then just change in the notifiaction pull down.

yep. but unless i am missing something there is not a quick way to have vibrate on with no ringer volume and then switch to silent without vibrate. pretty basic stuff. i shouldn't need a thirsting party app for that.
