Help My note 10.1 has been really slow, will rooting improve speed?

I'm running 4.1.2 and everything is laggy. From the keyboard to opening apps, everything takes a while to load or respond to my input. Is there a fix for this ? Will rooting speed up my note? What can I do?

Yes . And the problem is still there.

Reboot into recocery and clear the cache. I'm not sure if that can be done on stock recovery tho, I rooted and installed custom recovery within minutes of owning mines. Or you can just do a factory reset if you don't want to root.

I'd try a 3rd party launcher first. I've never had a problem with lag on mine but I have almost always had some other launcher than Touchwiz.

If none of the advice above works, hard reset it. Rooting does not speed up things in general.

I installed nova launcher and it's been running smooth. Thanks for the help.
