My son just got his license today

Fortunately, I'm around 7 years away from that particular horror. My thoughts are with you.
Oh boy. Fun times indeed. You're on the road to many a story to be used as allegory.
The first day my son drove on his own he encountered a random sobriety checkpoint. He was coming from work on a Junior license after 11:00 p.m. He was sure he was going to spend the night in jail. Then there's the night he had a flat tire at midnight on the highway in a torrential storm ... and he couldn't get the spare out (The hold-down bolt was rusted on). And the night he got the speeding ticket...
Oh yes, fun times indeed.
I pray for every parent with motorized children.

At least I have a few more years until my daughter starts driving! She did ask me today if she could have my jeep when she started driving.

I done that with father's pride and joy within two days of getting my license. Drove it into the back of a parked bus, wrote it off. He wasn't too pleased to say the least.
BTW during the summer I intend to get a Chinese Driving License, that should be fun.

Wow, all of you old fogies make me feel young.All you need to do is tell them "If you break it, you pay for it, or go without a car." That's what my parents did, and I haven't been in an accident yet.
And don't forget, us old fogies are the wise ones.
