Root Myn's 2.2 RLS3

Well i've been on Myn's Warm RLS3 for about a week now....loved it! hate the font so i flashed the Sony Sketch font pack with Type Fresh and now everything just looks so amazing! i love this phone even more each day...not to mention since flashing this ROM my battery life has been redonkulous compared to an unrooted stock EVO....i'm loving!! last night, my phone was at 15 hours off the charger with 71% left! i'm not going to explain what i did to make it last that long or anything, send a PM if you're that interested....

I do have one question and it may be a bug with it or maybe i'm just dumb...when rocking out to Pandora while on the harley, if I get a text (using Handcent) and the popup thing shows up, Pandora stops streaming until I find and press the power button to unstick the program.....Pandora never did this before so I am curious if this is a problem with Myn's Warm RLS3
 
Got help last nite on here. Hopefully someone can help me out again. I'm trying to install setCPU but its giving me trouble. Says something about the kernel not being compatible? And to email the developer.
 
What kernel are you running? You can flash the stock kernel again if needed, I'd uninstall SetCPU first though. I've tried netarchy, kings, and stock #10 without any problems from SetCPU.
 
Ok. Flashed kernel again(stock) but still doing the same thing. Srry for all the post. Just trying rly hard to figure this out.

I suppose it's possible, wouldn't hurt to try and reflash the ROM also if you're still having problems. But i'd think if the ROM install wasn't correct, you'd have more issues than just with SetCPU. Make sure you do a wipe dalvik/cache if you reflash. Sometimes it's best to do the cache wipes in RA recovery vs ClockworkMod (ROM Manager>Flash Alternate Recovery)
 
Ok guys. Finally got it working thx for all the help. Appreciate it. I flashed the rom and the stock kernel again and it works now. Thx again for everything.
 
Awesome ROM. I tried CM6 also and the turbo Kernel and while it was fantastic for quadrant (2300+) I just really like a Sense based UI. Its a keeper in my book! I experimented with some Kings Kernels and found that the BFS #9 seems to work the best on my phone. Scored a 1619 in quadrant and is rock solid. Phone is way more responsive over stock, and seems more responsive then HTC Kernel 10 that came with the rom. Cant say about battery life as I cant leave my phone alone lol.

I run @ 1.19Ghz for testing and 1.19 "ondemand" with setcpu

Release 4 is going to be sick. I've had the beta for the last half a day and LOVE it!
 
I had RLS3 on my original EVO and thought it was the sh*t... looking forward to the release of RLS4.

Anyone have any idea when it's going to be released?
 
I love this ROM....but i've only had for a week and Myn is already updating it!!! This is the curse of rooting and flashing ROMs...you can never just settle in for a few months, junk gets updated and made better almost weekly!! either way, i'm loving this ROM and will soon be flashing my update while my family eats turkey!!
 
I've had a great experience with this one so far. The only weird thing it does is, every once in a while, I'll go to unlock and I'll get a "Loading" message with just the wallpaper showing up. Not really problem, after a few seconds it's back to normal. A few times it has also shown the Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo boot screen, followed by the Loading screen.

The nice thing though is I am on RLS4 and its not an RUU, its the same core so you can just flash and not lose everything. Its still always a good idea to backup just in case but I just installed RLS4 over RLS3 and its working like a dream.

More customization and speed from what I can tell. He has repacked stuff to make it quicker, retooled the screen "flipping" and added some of the popular features that had been done in other roms (like putting power controls in the status bar).

The stuff I like most are: stock kernel #17; it definitely feels faster/snappier; it's got a fully working, non-buggy hulu app; (add-on) power toggle controls in the notification bar pulldown and the market is themed black.
 
I am on RLS3 and I realized my random reboots were due to Timeriffic changing settings for me. I dont know if it was a ROM issue or Timeriffic, but The ROM won out...

That sir is an inaccurate statement!!

after uninstalling Timeriffic, I had occasion to turnoff bluetooth again, and it restarted again, but I could not duplicate it again, so my bug had to with bluetooth somehow.

reinstalled Timeriffic, and everyone seems to be playing nicely together again.
