Root Nandroid Success; Custom ROM next?

Nandroid backup to me was something like the airbags on my car. It's nice to have but I have no intention of "testing" it.
So, Busybox Pro updates to v8.0 today and I install the 1.20.1 in what I thought was /system/xbin; bug in the program (fixed with 8.2) would only install it (without any warning) in /system/bin. So I had two copies and could not get rid of one.
Time to deploy the airbags...

Boot into CWM Recovery and select, restore and I had a copy of my system back up and running that was only about 4 days old. Well, I tried to install BB again thinking I'd made the error... several CWM restores later, I contact the author and he verifies the bug.

Nice to know I can get back to square one with a combination of CWM and Titanium backup.

Anyway, I've got TE-CM7-Reloaded and Gapps in the root of my SDcard; What's the worst that can happen; I know the airbags work.

... I also have all the relevant data (e.g., Recovery.img (stock and CWM), Nandroid, Titanium, Stock ROM flash) stored on an external hard drive, just in case my SD card corrupts...

The worst that could happed is you brick your phone. I assume you already know that and are sure you are not one of the few who don't have phone that will fail on your ROMing. I would have a second nandroid backup just in case. Then I would charge the phone fully. The reread the instructions, making sure the CWR is at least a recommended one. Then load what I found to be the best ROM for me.
That's all. I have loaded many-a-ROMs. I have had few problems. When I transfer my ROMs to my SDcard, I run an MD5checksum to see if it matches the one to what I put on the phone. That's small insurance, easy peasy to do.
And post any questions in the ROM thread if you have any questions. Good luck, happy ROMing.

I got to the other side (TG-Reloaded) and then back again to my stock rooted ROM; To get back I flashed b_randon14 and then a nandroid restore.

I'm now flashing back to CM7; ... I may never return;

Great help on this forum, thanks to all for information and data files.
