just install for my desire...but too slow to catch satellite coverage in offline mode in think ovi maps is better

I had a problem during the map download where it had progressed to about 48%, and when I returned to check on it again it was down at 42% and the transfer had stopped completely. When I went to download the maps again, the option was BUY.

I was able to continue the download by going to ""My NDrive" -> "Store" -> "My Products".

I'm not familiar enough the NDrive yet to know if this will help though.
 
Today is the last day of contest. Winners will be announced tomorrow for 14/07 as well as all IMEI's unlocked. Apologies for the confusion.

Attn: In order to download the map, go to NDrive > Store > Select map of your Country and download.

Added comment to the android market - app looks very good. Can't wait to try it out on a big trip.

I had to reformat my microSD car due to corruption. I was unable to salvage any data from it and therefore lost it all. I really don't want to spend three or four days downloading the map file directly to my phone again. It really take a long time and I just want to download it and get back up and running.

I just downloaded a 1.5 GB file on my computer in about 15 minutes. Is there any way to download the map file to my computer then transfer it to my phone?

Well I finally was able to get the map downloaded. my remark and review is in

Pros
gps finds you quick... big plus
Offline map feature is awesome and a great feature
lots of features with an easy to use UI.
split lane is awesome
POI is accurate
itinerary is a great feature too
avoid tolls and certain streets along the route

cons
Huge download
time consuming downloading process
no app to sd feature
integration with google search would be awesome.

other than that i cant complain, it has taken me , where i need to go each time. Now the question is , is it enough to make you want to spend when google maps gets better and better with each update. I guess its up to the individual

According to the original post, the contest was to last 7 days, with roughly 3 winners per day, selected randomly based on the date of their Market comment. I have noticed that on several days there have been less then 3 qualifying entries (Market comments with Android Forums UserID in parenthesis at end of comment, and a post in this thread), leaving some prizes unawarded.

My suggestion would be that once the contest is over, the unawarded prizes be randomly awarded to those who entered the contest but have not yet won.

I like your plan. I rushed to download it and try it out so that I could get into the contest early not realizing the format of it. I should have entered yesterday and I'd have won with the one other guy that entered yesterday! lol
 
i tried but for some reason it gave me problems saying that i already had the maps when i didnt. today it cleared and i was finally able to get the maps. the day after its over, lol. sucks. but i left the review above anyway and in the market as directed (just in case)

My map still says expired. Will PM admin, but thought I should post here too in case there is something I need to do, like maybe reinstall? My IMEI and location were supplied.

same here, not really sure what to do or how to get the map? Ive tried to go though the buy process to see if it unlocks but it just asks for a serial number and email address?? :confused::confused:
 
Please try and go to NDrive > Menu > My NDrive > Store > My Products tab (next to store 'tab')....your phone will speak with our server, and the map will be there, click and if not downloaded already, will ask you to download.
