Neat ROM

Don't know what happened there then. I think the yellow triangle was a badge of honor from the CF-Root days. Something may not be as stable as you'd like.

I am using XXLS8 NeatROM Full. In order to flash this new kernel Do I have to run the new GS2KernelWipe?

You don't HAVE to but It makes sense to clear out all the clutter from the previous rom. Possibility of performance increase once wiped/nuked.

I say that because I do not know the facts. For that youll need anyone else on the forum. :smokingsomb:
 
Silly question I know, but how do I know the new kernel has been installed successfully?

I downloaded and flashed this just, but in settings, about phone it still reports kernel as 3.0.31-816988

I would have expected the date to alter eg. - Just tried Jeboo 1.3 and that reports Feb 1st.
 
Ahhh it's been a while since I last visited this forums(Having internet problems for 5days, hoping that it is fixed now.)

Anyways, on LS8 Lite 4.2 and some mods from Aroma Mods 4.2a suddenly stopped working like skip songs and torch on lockscreen.

Oh well, a simple reflash would do the trick, I guess~

Anyone know why the torch on lockscreen option isn't in the aroma mods 4.2b? I really want this option!

Additionally, the multi window didn't seem to take when I did the aroma mods 4.2b, can I reflash the aroma mods over again, or do I have to reflash the rom first and then reinstall the aroma mods?

Is there a tutorial that explains each mod in the aroma mods? for instance, the difference between the keyboards and things like that.

CW manager will show that you have Philz installed, for the full version boot into recovery and check the "about" section

just set your phone to USB mass storage, your PC should then pick it up, i have had a few issues with my phone not being recognised but i think its a kernel issue rather than ROM

OK, started getting this error a few days ago, on both Phils kernel and Jeboo. Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped Any ideas?
 
Trying to perform back up in recovery but within seconds of starting get "error while backing up boot image"

tried wiping cache's & fix permissions but not really sure what else to try.

Havent flashed a kernel yet (thats wot I'm trying to do) running Neat Full LS8

are you backing up from recovery or via CW manager, also try backing up to your internal SD

Trying from recovery mode as for last 2/3 versions of Neat I've been unable to use backup/restore option from the app itself as it crashes.

How do I set it to backup to internal SD from recovery mode?

Also, slightly un related. I am unable to move apps to SD card using apps2SD. I had this with previous versions & cant remember if there is a fix!

The change log is in each donators email but I give the developer, salesale, the courtesy and honour of releasing it to the general public on the forum. ;)

On another note, I usually await the lite version but am currently downloading full anyway :-)
