Hi everyone
SO normally i could care less about a cellphone since i always pay for insurance to get it replaced in case anything happens. This time, things are much harder. I have the galaxy s2 for almost a yr and i gave birth to my daughter 2 months ago. The phone broke and I was ok with that until I realized all of my pregnancy pictures and videos along with all of my daughters birth pictures and her first 2 months of life were not in the SD card. I had no idea the phone stored everything in itself and not the memory card. Suffice to say I am desperate, BEYOND DESPERATE actually.
Some info:
I put the phone to automatically update the apps since i always forget. Soon after the phone kept turning on and off and while it was off the flash would go off and eventually stop.
The next day the phone turned off and never turned back on. Now it wont turn on, wont charge and yeah i dont know what to do
Please Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease any info anyone has would be invaluable. :bawling:

I could care less about the phone if theres any way to get the files back ill go for it

Hi vicks :hello: Welcome to the forum and Congratulations on the birth of your daughter!

Unfortunately, if the phone won't turn on I'm not sure how you can get your pictures. You can try removing the battery for a minute, put it back and see if it will start. You might try a T-Mobile store and see if they have a battery you can try and see if it will start.

That sounds like you got caught in a bootloop from one of the updates and it drained the battery to zero charge, which can kill a LiIon battery. I'd try this ... pull the battery out and let it sit for a good 45 minutes. Then replace the battery, plug in the phone to the charger and press and hold the power button for 20 ~ 30 seconds. Sometimes you can "wake up" a dead phone like that. If that doesn't do anything, you may have to take it in for repair, but be VERY specific before you hand it to them that you do NOT want them to perform a reset because that could erase your photos.

Sad to hear you can't access your phone and potentially loose your pictures, I hope removing the battery or replacing it works out. It sounds like you use your phone camera a lot. Next time make sure your storage settings in the camera are set to save your pictures to memory card and install an app (SugarSync, box sync, etc) that will make a copy of your pictures in the cloud. That way you will have your pictures even in the event of loosing your phone. By the way if you had your account set up for backup with Google's instant upload, your pictures should be available on an album on Google+. Check to see if they're there.
