ok so iv got a friend droid x got it rooted and havent had any troble untill now. Got stuck in boot loop so i i got into recovery and wiped the cache and all that. not wont even get past the motorola screen....also wont mount to my computer in recovery so cant get anything on the memeory need help to fix this asap!

ok 1. no i was stupid and didnt make a backup
2. i was planning on putting a rom on the phone for my friend cuz he knows nothing of rooting or anything about it i used and i used this method of rooting: [ROOT/UNROOT] Droid 3 root instructions (One Click added for Windows/ Linux/ OSX) - RootzWiki and i was trying to get the CRT animation installed on his stock setup first but that more than likley crashed it just need to know how to get it out and back to being a phone again so i can get a rom put on this thing for him.

1. In the future make a Backup BEFORE YOU DO ANY MOD.
2. The error is that you tried to use a mod that more than likely needs to be applied to a phone that has been deodexed. So if you put a deodex requiring mod on a phone that is odexed....you get boot loop.
3. Know this since you didn't make a backup alot of the data that was on the phone is lost and unrecoverable.

5. If you can get into any form of recovery and do a factory data wipe/reset do that.
6. if you can't do #5 your going to have to SBF. I would use the liveCD method if i were you.
7. You may want to do a little more reading before modding that phone once you get it back to a working condition.
8. What ROM were you planning on installing? Alot of newer ROMs have the CRT mod built into them.
yeah...sry i was stupid and not thinking things through on this one. Iv always done precautionary steps with my evo 3D and was just dumb this time lol but i was planning on putting CM7 on there cuz i know its good i use it on all my phones plus i know it has the crt animation
ok thx a ton man! im running the sbf now and next time ill remember to back it up >.< but my question is one all this is done do i have to root it again?

ok so friend flashed a CM7 rom on his droid x and it wasn't the right one. His battery was almost dead. So now i have been trying to get into the bootloader because all it does is load the motorola screen over and over. But when i hold the camera, vol down and power buttons all it does is boot the phone nomaly into the looping motorola screen. Where do i go from here.

Please just stick with one thread for the same problem. 
I would have thought you would have quit after nearly trashing your friends phone.
Based on your last 24 hours, you need to charge your phone before you move forward. It will not charge until you can get it to boot.
You need to swap batteries with a friend, take the battery into VW and have them charge it or buy a stand-alone charger or new battery. If you try to flash it and the battery dies, you'll lose a friend and have a much bigger phone problem.

you should always know what to do in the event of an emergency, especially when doing this things, always know what % your battery is at and, what to do in case something isnt working correctly
